Meet & Match: Co-founder/Mentor Matchmaking Event
Many early-stage startups begin in a research lab or a technical environment - but what the founder often needs to accelerate the startup further is a co-founder or mentor with complementary skills.
The team is the most valuable asset to drive development, and being a cofounder is not only very impactful - it’s also supposed to be a fun ride towards a shared goal, if you share the passion for the startup and its mission, it's fuel for the journey.
At this Meet & Match event, you can meet three energy & tech startups looking for a cofounder/mentor to become a part of and help accelerate their startup.
This is a unique opportunity to become an important part of a high-potential startup and create impact. Through a combination of a pitch session, a semi-structured matchmaking round and open networking, you'll have the opportunity to meet three carefully selected early-stage startups and talk to them 1:1.
Three pitching startups:
-
OceanEyes
A patented navigation and sensor platform for autonomous ocean operations. OceanEyes is an autonomous ocean sensor platform enabling precise navigation, sensing and communication for oceangoing surface systems. Designed for autonomous deployment, the platform performs autonomous maneuvering, environmental monitoring, defence applications and oceanographic surveying.
What sets OceanEyes apart is its ultra-low energy consumption combined with onboard energy generation, allowing for long-duration missions with minimal operational cost and maintenance.
The core technology has already been successfully demonstrated. The next phase focuses on application-specific development and commercialisation across sectors such as marine research, defence, offshore energy and environmental monitoring.
Founder: Kasper Mayntz Paasch, Associate Professor and lecturer at University of Southern Denmark (CIE), founder of Philon engineering ApS
Looking for: Commercial co-founder for project commercialising/sparring and business development
-
EMAI
AI-based PCB Simulator: The foundation of the pre-startup EMAI is a fast AI simulator for Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), targeting early-stage PCB design to reduce costly redesign cycles and late-stage EMC failures.
EMAI is a deep-tech initiative aiming to enable predictive EMI/EMC design of PCBs. It will warn engineers of risks and recommend fixes significantly faster than conventional EM solvers.
Founder: Mohamed Kheir, Associate Professor and EMC Group Leader at SDU
Looking for: Mentor to market analysis and exploring business possibilities -
HiddenDyke
HiddenDyke is an innovative solution that addresses challenges related to flooding, storm surges, and other weather events.
The system consists of an inflatable dyke that remains hidden when not in use, preserving the landscape while allowing rapid deployment when needed. Unlike permanent dyke solutions, HiddenDyke is cheaper to install, requires less space and does not impact the visual appearance of its surroundings.
Founder: Asger Gramkow, serial entrepreneur
Looking for:
A commercial co-founder who can drive business development, validate the market, and secure the first pilot projects and thereby turning the technology into a scalable business.
Agenda:
Inspirational Matchmaking case of UnEnergi: Meet the technical founder, Bhushan Patil, & commercial co-founder, Torben Schmidt, of the local startup UnEnergi, and hear how they complement each other to work together towards a common goal.
Pitch Session:
OceanEyes
EMAI
HiddenDyke
Deep Talk Session: Talk with the founder from the startup you’re interested in becoming a co-founder/mentor in
Networking with others in the energy & tech industry: We’ll get together for a short networking session, light food serving and drinks before the programme starts
Who can attend:
Anyone interested in becoming a cofounder or a mentor of one of the three pitching energy & tech startups.
Your background and experience is not crucial - your skills matching the founders’ skills and vision is crucial though. Having a passion for the startup's mission is also important.
